Our goal is to find loving, forever homes for each horse in our care. All horses available for adoption come with a complete veterinarian and trainer evaluation to ensure their health and suitability for adoption. We believe in lifelong commitment, so any horse adopted from Lazy B can be returned at any point in their life, ensuring they always have a safe place to go. While adoption fees are non-refundable, we strive to make the process as simple as possible while ensuring the perfect match for both you and the horse. Your success in the adoption journey is our priority, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Equine Adoption Process

1. Submit an Application
Complete the online adoption application via Shelterluv on our website (link below to available horses)

2. Application Review
Our team reviews every application to ensure the best fit for each horse.
Applications may be denied if:
• There are no other equines on the property
• The horse is intended for breeding or resale
• The adopter does not plan to provide a long-term home

3. Facility Photos
Applicants must email current photos of fencing, shelter, turnout areas, feed/water setup, and any equines they currently own.

4. Meet the Horse(s)
Approved applicants schedule a visit to meet and interact with the horse and speak with our staff.

5. Adoption Agreement & Fee
Once approved, adopters sign an adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to reserve the horse.

Holds
A 48-hour hold may be placed on a horse. After 48 hours, a signed agreement and paid fee are required or the horse may be relisted.

6. Ownership Transfer
We coordinate with the Utah Brand Inspector when required to complete the legal transfer.

7. Safe Transportation
Adopters must pick up their horse in a clean, structurally sound trailer sized appropriately for safe travel.
